Our firm is SEC-registered and a FINRA member. We have offices in Atlanta and New York and are known for marketing high quality fund offerings sought after by institutional investors (we are a third-party placement agent; i.e. we do not offer or manage our own investment funds). We are dedicated to serving the needs of sophisticated institutional investors and assisting them at all stages of their decision process relating to each investment offering that we bring to market. Our investor network and relationships include endowments, foundations, corporate pensions, public pensions, insurance companies, funds-of-funds, private banks, trust companies, and large family offices.

The position is focused on working with the Fortress Group team to support the firm’s private equity fund placement mandates. This will include, among other duties, a combination of institutional investor research, fund manager research and analysis, and market research. Compensation will be competitive and will include annual bonus potential.

Responsibilities will include:

• Update and maintain the firm’s proprietary investor database based on investor and market research from numerous sources.

• Conduct research on the investment criteria and portfolio objectives of various types of institutional investors (i.e., insurance companies, pension funds, endowments, and foundations) with allocations to alternative investments.

• Review industry publications to assist the firm’s principals in identifying investment strategies most in demand and the most suitable investors for each offering.

• Prepare detailed reports on fund managers to assist principals with ongoing business development.

• Assist with the organization of research and due diligence materials for customized correspondence with investors.

• Over time, the employee's role may be expanded to include financial analysis, prospective client due diligence, preparation of offering materials, arranging investor meetings, and assisting in discussions with prospective investors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Finance, Economics, or Accounting and previous internship experience.

• Excellent research abilities with superior analytical and written and verbal communication skills required.

• Mature and professional candidate with strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.

• Ability to operate in a high pressure, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to show initiative and self-direction.

• Prior research work with database software would be a plus.

• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications required.

Two-Year Program:

This will be a position with an approximate term of two years. The position is geared towards individuals looking to build a career in private equity, investment banking, equities research, or a similar field/career path. (For exceptional performance, the firm may offer the opportunity to stay on in an expanded role after completion of the two-year program.)
