Analyst, Syndicate Product Control recruitment
My client is a global investment bank which is building up it’s Product Control platform in Asia.
Main Duties
- Production of daily desk PL including commentaries
- Ensure the maintenance of a strong internal control environment
- PL attribution and understanding of the attributed PL
- Balance Sheet control and commentary
- Balance Sheet Substantiation
- Review deal documentation to understand features of each of the transactions and to ensure that the system bookings are in line with the documentation
- Provision of key weekly monthly MIS to senior management.
- Liaison with other departmental areas (e.g. Front Office, Operations, IT, Financial Control)
- Stop Loss Monitoring
- Mandate sign-off
- Process development and identification of improvements through documentation and analysis of current procedures
- Investigations and ad hoc queries as necessary Product Control is key to the independent reporting and control infrastructure and is a key enabler to the controlled growth of the business.
Person Requirements
Quals / Education:
- ACA / CIMA (or equivalent)
- Top tier university
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years work experience, including at least 2 years in Banking - Product Control / Finance Control or related function.
- Bonds / Fixed Income Product Control experience
- Intermediate / Advanced excel skills.
Skills Aptitude:
- Strong control awareness and judgment.
- Desire to provide top quality service to internal clients.
- Excellent people skills, both communication and presentation.
- Ability to meet regular, tight daily deadlines and prioritise.
