Analyst-Sys Perf Support

Overview : Responsible for supporting the administration of performance measurement systems and performing quantitative analysis of data and reporting/tool development to support performance and process improvement. Position Information : Conduct quantitative analysis of performance measurement data in support of performance measurement systems and associated process improvement efforts Support diverse groups in cross-operating companies on special projects and corporate initiatives as assigned Provide analytical support for Corporate Strategy Support functions to include Customer Support, Program Management and Service Assurance network Perform research and analysis through application of data acquisition, statistical modeling techniques, and report system development Support annual performance measurement system goaling activities through data acquisition and statistical analysis Develops statistical reports/tools that trend, analyze, and assist in the identification of opportunities to improve performance (e.g. SQL, SAS, Crystal Reports, Minitab, or related programming/tool platform) Build and maintain solid relationships with management and business process owners throughout FedEx Freight and FedEx organization Compile necessary information from various functional areas to provide periodic performance reports and updates Assist in the development, promotion, and sharing of best practices for performance measurement, report development, and analytics for quality initiatives Perform other assignments (or duties) as required Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures Disclaimer: This job description is general in nature and is not designed to contain or to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job. Qualifications : Bachelor?s Degree/equivalent in Business, Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline or (4) years directly related work experience with analytic focus One (1) year experience in data analysis or in a position with analytic focus Knowledge of relational database systems Oracle, DB2, Terradata, etc? Basic knowledge of analytics / statistics such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Minitab and Business Objects or related tools/programming platforms Ability to learn new programming languages and tools based on self-study Ability to learn and grow through professional development Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal skills with ability to effectively multi-task Comprehensive computer skills (Excel, E-mail, Word, PowerPoint) with a preference for capabilities with analytical software and reporting interfaces such as (SAS), Minitab, and Business Objects Comprehensive presentation, verbal and written communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc) WORKING CONDITIONS: Travel required Job ID: 40591 JobTitle: Analyst-Sys Perf Support
