Analyst to Director – Energy/Infrastructure/Metal & Mining Project Finance

Role:-
• You will be in charge of origination deals - winning new business, further developing existing relationships and executing the deals
• Within the execution you will be in charge of structuring, due diligence and also overseeing the processing of internal credit applications
• You will be involved in financial advisory mandates for project sponsors pre and post bidding, modelling, financial structuring.
• You will have to lead complex financial modeling and other documentation.
• Oversee complex advisories within the project finance space to suit clients needs
• The focus of the group will be on Energy, Oil Gas, Metals Mining and Infrastructure with most of the business being generated in the Canadian region
• Role will be to structure and eventually distribute project and structured finance related transactions covering all relevant geographies mainly Canada
• Travel will be required to pitch for projects and you will be expected to actively be involved in all steps of the project finance process from start to end
• Developing the technical skills of more junior members of the team as well as improving their leadership capabilities
• You will have to liaise with other departments of the bank including capital markets, risk, MA and legal to ensure that the transactions all run smoothly
Candidate:-
• Candidate must be either an associate, VP or Director within the PF space and have a good number of years in the market and preferably with an international bank
• Will have a senior position and be involved a lot of important managerial positions so extensive managerial experience is important
• Candidates don?t necessarily have to be based in Canada but a person already based there would be preferable
• Desirable to have experience in advisory and arranging deals in the Canadian market
• Experience within Energy, OG, MM and Infra is welcome but a strong deal list in any of the following areas and a solid PF background is a must
• Client can only consider people with a strong Canadian PF background and there is no flexibility on this.
