ANALYST US EQUITIES
Our clients include corporations, pension plans, insurance companies, foundations, endowments, central banks, official institutions and mutual funds. In North America we have offices in Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, and Toronto. We have an excellent career opportunity for an Analyst US Equities in our Boston office. This person will be responsible for generating alpha by providing the Portfolio Managers with fundamental research and specific recommendations. Specific experience in healthcare, staples, and financial and / or industrial sectors is preferred.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Collect and interpret market information and data. Present interpretations to the US Equities Team and where requested to other investment centers.
- Develop research on industries and stocks under coverage. Responsive to research requests from the Portfolio Managers.
- Formulate investment cases for discussion with the team. Support and defend recommendations and holdings in the funds.
- Provide stock recommendations on the basis of both our internal screening models and fundamental work. Attention to risk / reward and the structure of the sector are important.
- Provide input to improve the research process and work efficiently within the existing investment processes.
- Communicate the views of the US Team toward other investment centers and internal clients as needed.
- Support the Sales Team when required.

Academic Background and Experience:
- Excellent academic credentials, Bachelors in economics or finance.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience as a fundamental analyst preferably within industrials and/or energy sectors.
- Charted Financial Analyst qualification and/or MBA strongly preferred.
