Analyst: Utilities recruitment
Responsibilities
Moody's Utilities-Americas team has an immediate opening at the Analyst level.
Core responsibilities include leading meetings with issuers and investors, analyzing complex spreadsheet data, financial modeling, writing credit reports, presenting credit recommendations at rating committees, authoring special research comments and participating in the Team's various Outreach Activities. Analytical tasks include quantitative assessment of financial statements, financial forecasts, economic/market data, plus the application of the appropriate rating methodology as well as analysis of official statements, bond indentures, liquidity agreements, swap agreements and other related documents.
The individual is expected to build and maintain strong business relationships with an array of financial market participants, including issuers, financial advisors, underwriters, and investors. The individual is also expected to be a strong team player and work seamlessly with other lead and support analysts on the team along with other business units within Moody's.
Qualifications
The individual should have well-developed analytical skills, strong written and oral communication capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines. Strong abilities in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are necessary. Master's degree as well as three to five years experience in the power/utility/pipeline sector preferred. Moderate travel is required.
