Analyst
We are currently seeking a talented manager level accountant for a great opportunity with a growing Birmingham, AL employer. We are looking for someone either currently at the management level or ready to take the next step. Duties will include the supervising the financial statements to ensure their compliance to US GAAP, disclosure review and oversight, oversight of all management reporting, guiding and researching technical accounting issues, and leading the implementation of new accounting initiatives set for the company on a project basis.
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- CPA required
- Big 4 or regional audit experience (either past of current).
- Extensive internal and external reporting experience
- Technical understanding of GAAP and financial accounting
- Experience in the financial services arena is strongly preferred (insurance and/or banking)
- Outstanding written and verbal skills
- Ability to communicate accounting results to non accounting management.
