Analyst/Associate
In this position, you will be responsible for conducting research, creating financial models and preparing investor reports and analysis that provides a basis for all forecasting and budgeting. This position will play a key role in organizational change to improve decision effectiveness by utilizing data and analytical tools, industry research and practice, and competitive benchmarking. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a desire to become a member of a close-knit team and work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform an initial quantitative and qualitative review of potential investments
- Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis of potential investments
- Construct and maintain detailed and complex financial models
- Assist senior staff members in preparing complete written and verbal presentations of investment recommendations to the investment committee members
- Provide input on special projects including renovation, repositioning and rebranding strategies
- Prepare and maintain regular investor reports
- Help with the origination, negotiation and closing of all investment transactions
Qualifications include:
- 2-5 years of experience in financial modeling and underwriting; background or understanding of real estate/hospitality is a plus
- Flexible for occasional travel
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Strong work ethic with a dedicated loyal attitude
- Must be well organized, energetic and thrive in a fast paced, high-energy environment
- Initiative, creativity, independent thinking and the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
