Analyst/AVP – Valuation Control Reporting recruitment
The Valuations team is in charge of providing monthly price verification and calculation of model reserve. Your role would be to report results to trade management and make recommendations on for reporting results and conclusions to trade management with recommendations on model weaknesses and valuation issues.
Responsibilities:
- Drive production of reports and material for the monthly global valuation governance process.
- Manage workflow of related Independent Valuation processes.
- Add value by providing initial commentary, review and quality control of material. Drive consistency and improvements across processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions
- Independent Valuation process – Workflow
- Monthly Submissions - track submission times and escalate exceptions.
- Independent Valuation Control process - Primary Production
- Flash - compile the monthly flash for London to review and distribute.
- Valuation Management reviews - compile the monthly reports for London to review, add commentary and distribute.
- Valuation Governance process - Workflow
- Take actions, Review Items, Publish and escalate when required
- Timetabling - track pre- post- governance meeting deliverables to published deadlines, ensure governance meeting scheduling is up to date.
- Produce regular pack material e.g. Independent Price Verification results, Prudential Valuation Adjustments, Reserves Summary
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ Valuation Control or Product Control experience in a major investment bank covering variety of financial products.
- Strong front to back valuation control experience.
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter, hands on with the ability to streamline processes
- Strong workflow management skills
- Good knowledge of a high standard reporting function. Enjoy working in a high pressure and challenging environment
