Analytic & Forensic Technology – Computer Forensics Associate
- 1+ years of computer forensics experience
- Strong technical experience in troubleshooting personal computers and servers
- An understanding of file system types and hard disk drive structures
- A strong understanding of Windows based systems including installing, troubleshooting, and networking. Linux and UNIX experience is a plus
- Proficient in the use of EnCase or Forensic Toolkit or SMART or open source (Linux) forensic tools
- An understanding of data collection preservation principles
- An understanding of networking concepts and experience in working with networked systems
- Strong networking and TCP/IP skills are a plus
- EnCE certification or eligibility to sit for and pass the exam within 1 year from the date of hire
- CFCE certification a plus
- Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
- Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management
- The ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas to in non–technical terms
- Law enforcement or prior investigative experience is a plus
- Some business development or marketing skills or experience desired
- A strong finance, accounting or economics background is not required, but it is very helpful
- COMP TIA A+ Certification (certification required within 1 year from date of hire)
- BA/BS degree in Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with an IT emphasis preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements of client service projects
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience in a professional services firm preferred
