DESCRIPTION: Selected candidate will be performing the Wet Chemistry Physical Testing of Thermoplastic Urethane products in the lab.

REQUIREMENTS: The candidate has to be proficient in general laboratory techniques, have experience in performing a variety of methods utilizing both wet chemical and physical testing methods and performing instrument validations. Also, the applicant needs to know how to: perform validation protocols and follow Standard Operation Procedures (SOP); handle laboratory projects and investigations; summarize, report and/or review findings; perform daily tasks within laboratory to ensure compliance with Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Good Laboratory Practices. The individual filling this position should have good organizational and time management skills. The individual should have hands on knowledge of physical testing equipment such as MFI, tensile/compression testing, hardness and thickness testing, as well as small scale extruder experience. The individual should also have experience with basic laboratory equipment such as balances, and titration equipment. The individual should be comfortable working with hazardous materials and understanding the proper chemical handling, use, storage and disposal and safety equipment. The individual must be knowledgeable of MSDS's and the metric system. The individual must be able to work independently and interact with the Plant Operating personnel group on a regular basis both written and verbally. The individual should have the ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; the ability to communicate effectively with other employees within the organization; the ability to read, analyze, and interpret s technical procedures and applicable governmental regulations. The individual must be proficient and comfortable working with a variety of software systems for instrument control and reporting of results and well as with Microsoft word, Excel, and Power Point. The individual must be comfortable performing set routine tasks in an established time frame as well as working on independent projects requiring detailed reporting and observations
