Analytics & Risk Management – Team Lead recruitment
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for production and development efforts involving support of security master, market data vendor feeds, pricing systems, and risk management systems supporting the fixed income investment process.
- Work closely with members of the Analytics/Risk Management, SMF, and Pricing groups.
- Produces project documentation including formal proposals and schedules, system requirements and testing plans.
- Works with business partners and systems personnel to identify new business workflow or change current processes to enhance their effectiveness.
- Communicates system changes and processes to appropriate personnel, documenting any processes as necessary.
- Communicates discrepancies determined in testing to impacted areas and monitors resolution.
- Designs and tests systems and/or system changes accurately to insure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability.
- Sets appropriate goals and priorities that coordinate with the business areas and other organizational units and resource
Qualifications include:
- Must have direct experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically experience working with market data feeds in the Fixed Income arena.
- 5+ years of software development experience including knowledge of systems development concepts including underlying technologies, database and application design and system architecture
- 3+ years experience in the design, testing of financial or fixed income market data or vendor applications
- 2+ years of project management and organizational skills with ability to both lead and participate in cross-organizational teams; ability to initiate, track, and follow through on multiple ongoing projects
- Some experience working with market data vendors such as Bloomberg, FTID, Lehman, etc is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently and interact with all levels of internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated ability to manage a project through it’s full life cycle
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team
- Demonstrated ability to interface with clients and manage/develop client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned project responsibilities with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to convey both technical and non-technical material in a clear and concise manner
