POSITION OVERVIEW:
- The MSCI Analytics Sales Professional will be responsible for new business development within the client segment Asset Management Wealth Management for all Analytics products. The focus will be on generating new business with our fast growing multi asset portfolio management-, risk- and performance solutions.
- This role is a highly visible one, with involvement in all aspects of account management including prospecting, senior level relationship management, product demonstrations, contract negotiation and sales closing. In this role, individuals work very closely with global client service, client consultants, marketing, product management, and finance / billing departments.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Total Relationship Management involving:
- High Level Management Contact
- Strategic Account Planning
- New product placement
- Client meetings requiring extensive travel within territory
- New Business Development / Market Strategy Planning
- Achieve targeted revenue and new client win goals
- Work with other departments (client service, legal, contracts, billing, etc) to ensure that all clients requests / inquiries are managed appropriately
- Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc.
- Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
- Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience within the investment industry / a proven sales track record of accomplishments / strong financial academic background / fluency in German and English, Scandinavian languages are a plus.
- Thorough understanding of the Investment Management Process and the global financial markets (equity, fixed income, alternatives)
- Strong consultative sales and closing skills
- Good analytic and quantitative skills – experience in Risk Management and / or Portfolio Management a plus
- Understanding of / experience dealing with the Asset and Wealth Management Segment
- Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
- A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
