Location: St Johns, NL A1C6C9
Ancillaries Planner
Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply WorleyParsons Hebron Project planning procedure including WBS structure, CTR requirements, Planning procedure, Plan reporting, etc.
- Understand and apply the Coordination Procedures as agreed with the subcontractors.
- Communicate planning submission requirements to subcontractors.
- Develop multi-level plans based on input from multiple subcontractors ensuring integrity of input provided.
- Compile plans provided by multiple subcontractors to optimism resources, equipment and account for simultaneous activities and safety concerns.
- Optimize schedules accounting for interfaces between multiple subcontractors, including indirect activity requirements.
- Apply critical path methods to identify, address and track key activities.
- Establish baseline schedules for each subcontractor.
- Record progress against schedules.
- Trend and reforecast plans based on actuals accounting for productivity.
- Provide input to St. John's Project Controls Manager for roll-up to the Master Project Plans.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 10-15 years experience in project planning (engineering and construction).
- Experience planning the activities of multiple subcontractors.
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Ability to apply earned value techniques.
- Familiarity with the Project Management Body of Knowledge approach to Project Management techniques.
- Well versed in the MS OfficeSuite of software.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with others (verbally, written and meetings).
- A person who responds well with team and individual efforts.
Reporting and Location:
- The position reports to the Lead Drilling Planner.
- Opportunity exists in St.John’s, Newfoundland.
