Annuity and Insurance Specialist recruitment
Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice, seeks an annuity and insurance specialist to educate potential and existing clients on Vanguard's annuity and insurance products and services, including applicable retirement code, Vanguard funds/services, and overall investment information in a timely and professional manner.
Your primary duties and responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains current knowledge of Vanguard's funds, services and market factors relating to the annuity and insurance products offered by Vanguard. Keeps abreast of technical/legal aspects of annuity and insurance products.
- Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of Vanguard funds, other investment vehicles and financial markets. Uses this knowledge to educate clients regarding considerations to make when deciding which funds and asset allocations are appropriate for their investment goals and risk tolerance.
- Assists callers in the process of completing appropriate forms, including responding to follow-up inquiries and placing outcalls. Responds promptly and accurately to inquiries regarding owner contracts/policies, administrative legal information, portfolios and services pertaining to their particular contract.
- Researches and resolves contract/policy owner's problems. Follows up on all complex/sensitive client issues as appropriate.
- Keeps management abreast of trends and client feedback. Keeps current knowledge of industry and department developments by attending staff meetings and appropriate training sessions.
- Participates in special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- One or more years of related financial services phone work preferred.
- Demonstrated solid verbal communication skills.
- Solid client relation skills when dealing with routine and complex general situations.
- Solid understanding of Vanguard's policies and procedures, with emphasis on annuities and insurance.
- Knowledge of Vanguard's funds preferred.
- Series 7 and 63 (or ability to obtain within department guidelines).
- Life and Annuity Insurance license preferred.
