Introduction: Montash Associates have been retained by arguably the largest company in the world to assist in attracting the next generation of exceptional computer scientists / software developers skilled in any one / multiple of Java, C#, C++, Scala, Python and Kdb to work in a core technology group that will provide frameworks, architectures, libraries, prototypes etc. that will form the current and future technology systems for this organisation. This would suit a recent graduate or an individual with 2/3 years’ experience in industry. This organisation only looks for the best of the best.

The Team: A horizontally aligned team made up of developers from a variety of technology backgrounds. This team works with Java, C#, C++, Scala, Python and Kdb, amongst other, relevant technologies. You will be working in an ambitious and experimental environment.
The Project: This team will work on a series of ground breaking technology projects, dependent upon not only demands from technology teams, but also based on research into new technologies, methodologies etc. Some initial projects will include: writing calculation servers, extensions to compilers, data structures, algorithms, grid computing, framework prototyping for future trading systems etc.
The Role: Technology changes with ever-increasing frequency, as this organisation is creating the most scalable and most user-friendly systems designed to beat the competition. In order to stay ahead of the curve, this organisation is increasing the size of the team that deals with the future of technology and are looking for the best of the best. The team requires Computer Science Experts with experience of one / several of Java, C#, C++, Scala, Python, Guice, Kdb, Hadoop, Apache and other opensource technologies.
The Technology: As mentioned, this team works with Java, C#, C++, Scala, Python and Kdb, amongst other relevant technologies.
The Skills: As well as the aforementioned technology requirements, the following are also very attractive:
- Extensive, first class academics in Computer Science related fields from red brick University (e.g. Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial)
- A genuine passion for software development.
- Reader/writer of technology articles / books / publications etc.
- Write server-side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly. You should also have a strong understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development.
- Build platforms, systems and networking infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, OS/kernel, network system design, and large scale storage systems.
The Package: This team are looking for an exceptional developer. This could be a PhD grad with zero commercial experience, or a recent starter with up to 3 years of commercial software development expertise. Base salary will range from £50,000 - £80,000 will be paid with exceptional benefits and bonus
