Duties/Responsibilities
¿
Manage all aspects of the accounts payable (AP) function ensuring invoices are properly approved, accurately
coded, and timely processed so that expenses can be efficiently allocated to respective funds.
¿
Oversee weekly pay runs and review AP team?s coding and invoice entry
¿
Manage AP month end process including:
¿
Monthly posting of vouchers and payments
¿
Generating Journals
¿
Running several queries to ensure all items are posted correctly
¿
Prepare and manage monthly Corporate Accounting metrics reporting
¿
Prepare and analyze monthly payment activity and AP Balance Sheet reconciliations
¿
Document and communicate variances requiring explanation
¿
Prepare and review necessary journal entries and adjustments throughout the month
¿
Manage AP year-end activities
¿
Accrual schedules for year-end close
¿
Annual 1099 reporting
¿
Respond to all AP related audit requests
¿
Oversee Invoicing/Accounts Receivable activities to ensure timely generation and payment application
¿
Average of 150 receipts per month
¿
Generate approximately 10 invoices per month
¿
Manage expense report processing and reporting through Concur
¿
Oversee American Express Corporate and Meeting card payments and Journal Entries
¿
Interact with the Payroll, GL, and FPA staff in identifying, recommending, and implementing process
improvements, internal controls, and efficiencies
¿
Participate in special projects as they arise
Position Requirements
¿
Bachelors degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
¿
5+ years of experience, preferably in a medium to large accounting group
¿
3+ years of experience working in an ERP system environment, including configuration for multibusiness
unit, multi-currency, multi-ledger environment
¿
3+ years of accounts payable/receivable supervisory/management experience
¿
Experience performing monthly Accounts Payable close procedures under tight deadlines
¿
Strong Microsoft Excel skills - create macros, v-lookups, and other complex formulas
¿
Experience in improving processes and working on IT projects designed to improve efficiencies
¿
Excellent interpersonal skills, high energy level, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
¿
Demonstrated high level of initiative, supervisory and analytical skills, and impeccable integrity
