APAC Business Management
We are looking for someone to join our client's Business Management team as COO focusing on the APAC Equity Derivatives business. The role will encompass multiple hubs within Asia including Hong Kong and Japan. The candidate will play a fundamental role in the day to day running of the business in addition to enhancing the existing processes and controls to enable further growth and expand the opportunities for the business.
The role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Business Management
- Assisting the business in the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives
- Reviewing business plans’ objectives, economics and feasibility – looking at resource requirements and implementation.
- Prioritization of resources and tracking of progress
- Co-ordination regionally and globally – to ensure compliance and adherence to global standards and governance procedures
Risk and Control
- Maintain the operating effectiveness and integrity of the F2B control environment including key face off to Logistics and Control functions on strategic and day to day issues
- Oversee the timeline delivery of CTB initiatives and operational risk remediation
- Define and monitor key FTB risk and performance indicators, coordinating corrective action when required
- Act as escalation body for Business Area’s material FTB operating issues
- Point of co-ordination with regard to audits, regulatory enquires and ensuring the compliance with any audit points/findings
Financial Planning and Cost Control
- Review of financial performance of the business as well as working with business heads with regard to forecasting and budgeting
- Overseeing the review of client revenue analytics
- Actively manage costs including management of the budget allocation and overseeing priority investment areas
- Maintaining strict operating discipline and ensuring that expenditure is inline with guidelines and policies
Project Management
- Ownership and delivery of key projects for Equity Derivatives
- This will include global and regional IT projects, risk management enhancements and further developing the control environment in conjunction with Logistics and Control functions.
