Team Description
The TSS Finance International Projects Team is a cross-region department that services all locations outside the US. We are accountable for the management of TSS Finance's projects through the full lifecycle from concept and business case, through requirements and definition of operating model impacts, down to testing and implementation. Most of the projects will have a technology impact and we partner with Global Finance Technology, an internal cross-line-of-business service partner, for delivery of technical changes.
The TSS Finance projects pipeline is wide and varied and has a constant throughput of projects, covering both multi-year and shorter term initiatives. These support various functional stripes including TSS Core Systems Strategy, Finance Operating Model, Business Expansion and Technology Maintenance.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of TSS Finance International Projects, Regional Projects Managers in the department have accountability over a range of local and international projects and manage the day-to-day PMs of these initiatives.
Regional PM roles are leadership roles with a high degree of expectation on personal pro-activity and drive. Role holders will be responsible for team building as well as individual personnel development and effectiveness.
As well as managing their own business team, the role holder will partner with Global Finance Technology and in-region IB or TSS Technology teams to achieve technical solutions, where necessary, and with the line Finance functions (for example the controllers, CFOs and Tax), for their subject matter expertise and ultimately Finance business approval for projects to go live.

- Portfolio Management
- Build and maintain a network of contacts within the project delivery functions of the TSS lines of business, Corporate Finance, Investment Bank Global Treasury.
- Pro-actively define and determine the full set of projects occurring either within TSS Finance or within the lines of business that have an impact on TSS Finance.
- Manage resource projections and identify staffing or skills gaps working with the Program Manager and Finance Controller to address these.
- Where appropriate, negotiate with line of business or corporate PMOs and project sponsors to prioritise projects and match project demand with resource capacity.
- Manage Quality Assurance of the portfolio and address weak process areas, partnering with other PMs in the wider global team on best practices and standards.
- Project Delivery
- Take overall accountability for the portfolio of projects within their remit, delivered by staff in the APAC TSS Finance Projects Team.
- Partner with Finance line functions (e.g. Controllers, CFOs, Tax, Regulatory, Planning Reporting Analysis) to identify Finance requirements and controls.
- Work jointly with the business sponsors and Corporate Finance/GFT to deliver these projects within agreed duration and budgets, providing solutions that meet these business requirements and controls, within expected levels of quality.
- Ensure that projects are compliant with the Project Delivery Framework (PDF), follow lifecycles that are appropriate for the scale and complexity of the project, and that solutions are fully tested prior to implementation.
- Pro-actively drive the resolution of issues identified during the project.
- Business Strategy:
- Partner with senior mgmt to develop creative solutions to business issues.
- Advise the business on appropriate technical and operating model solutions that are in line with business strategy.
- Represent TSS Finance in discussions with Corporate Finance and Global Finance Technology around the Corporate Finance architecture strategy.
- Staff Management
- Manage and develop the projects resources.
- Ensure that all staff have stretch assignments and appropriate personal development plans.
- Coach, supervise and lead their team as appropriate to their individual experience and grade.
Skills
Your Background:
You should have...
- A proven track record of Project Program Management with high delivery focus.
- Excellent knowledge of the Corporate and TSS Finance business functions, processes technology platform.
- Prior experience of Finance systems infrastructure projects (e.g. General Ledger, Regulatory Reporting, Product Organisational MIS, Client Profitability Reporting, Funds Transfer Pricing).
- Ideally additional knowledge of Line of Business systems, Middle Office operations or other products/businesses outside of Finance.
- Experience of managing multiple activities and priorities and working to tight deadlines in a disciplined manner.

Desirables
- Qualifications are primarily through relevant experience. No formal qualification is mandatory, although an accounting qualification or project management (e.g. PMP) qualification would be a strong advantage.
