APAC Treasury Manager
The APAC Treasury Manager will work alongside and give direction to Global Markets staff that provides front-office execution services on behalf of Corporate Treasury in the region. The APAC Treasury Manager will also work closely in conjunction with the Treasury desks in EMEA and New York to perform these activities.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Review/analyse foreign currency liquidity positions
- Ensure that funding and liquidity positions are executed and managed within approved limits and guidelines, across the region
- Coordinate and instruct funding transactions across the various APAC bank branches
- Coordinate regional money market credit limit requirements of the branches
- Identify and recommend investment opportunities across the region to enhance NII
- Interact directly with the lines of business in APAC on deposit pricing, asset pricing and volumes, especially with regards to local currency products
- Participate actively in the local liquidity risk committees (ie. LOC, APAC ALCO)
- Represent BNY Mellon with local regulators on treasury activities in the region, when required
- Provide support to other Corporate Treasury initiatives in the region
The role will face and have direct contact with:
- External market counterparties
- Various Corporate Treasury and Global Markets teams in APAC, EMEA and NYK
- Local Senior Management and Senior Regional Management in APAC
- Lines of Business Heads
- Senior Management in Finance, Risk Management, Tax, Compliance and Legal
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior treasury execution experience in international treasury markets (9-10 years)
- Strong understanding of Asian currency money markets and associated market regulations
- Strong understanding of other international money markets
- Strong understanding of market risks and liquidity risk
- Strong, comprehensive knowledge of full range of treasury products
- strong working knowledge of Asian money markets, treasury products and the local regulatory environment
- Strong intellect, judgement and problem solving skills
- Strong organisation skills
- Strong written and communication skills in English
- Asian language capabilities preferred
