Apex CTG IPT Lead Aurora, CO Description: The Apex program is enhancing and modernizing a command and control system for a satellite ground station in parallel with maintenance support activities. The CTG IPT is responsible for the development and deployment of antenna and RF equipment and other equipment related to the uplink and distribution of satellite data. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technical oversight of the IPT's design, development, testing and installation of ground terminal products Management of the IPT's cost and schedule which includes Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance in conjunction with program planners and cost account management (CAM) using Earned Value Management (EVMS) techniques Team leadership, both technical and functional The CTG IPT Lead reports programmatically to the Program Manager and functionally to the RME Section Manager, and interfaces with the other IPT Leads and the Chief Engineer. . Required Skills: 10+ years demonstrated engineering leadership experience with proven track record. Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations. Experience in program management support, including: ECR management and cost estimation. Experience in IMS development and management using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team Understanding of software development lifecycle models and program lifecycle modes. Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills. Experience in preparing management level briefings. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Current SSBI Desired Skills Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract. 5 or more years experience with ground terminal hardware (RF or Baseband) and/or software (status and control) development, installation, and integration activities. Experience in requirements management Experience in CONOPS / OPSCON development Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation Experience in technical risk management Experience in subcontract/IOT management Experience in SE process development and deployment Experience in Operations including: procedure development, training, transition planning, installation, and deployment Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent.
