Application Architect Job in Auburn Hills 48321, Michigan US
The Application Architect is responsible for overall application architecture creating, application component design, and prototyping of designed architecture. The individual in this position has experience in design, implementation, and deployment of software applications in the business world. This individual is knowledgeable in all aspects of system integration and has a basic understanding of network systems and hardware. The individual is confident in developing requirements and design specifications for new and existing applications. The individual in this position serves as a leader in the integration of solutions and designing applications.
Work flexibility (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.)
Ability to perform periodic travel to VWGoA sites in Michigan and Canada about 20% of the time. Also able to periodically travel internationally and attend multiple industry events throughout a given year.
Job Requirements:
• J2EE/Java development
• WebSphere Application Server
• WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere MQ
• Tivoli Access Manager
• Oracle RDBMS
• Business/Consumer-facing web applications, Web Services
• Portal/web services design/development desired
• IBM Datapower appliance experience desired
• Demonstrated development experience
• Demonstrated experience in working with external technology vendors
• Minimum of 6 years experience in advanced technologies and minimum of 4 years experience with e-business technologies
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent (Advanced degree desired)
