Purpose: We are seeking a Implementation Analyst (Configuration Management) to help design, implement, and support production environments for mission critical client/server or web applications in the financial sector. Applications include, but are not limited to Execeptions Management, Payment Information Management, digital cheque image delivery, and cheque reconciliation services.
Assist in formulation of system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information system. Maintain and document those programs. Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deploy and maintain application infrastructure
- Aid development teams by providing an automated, repeatable build process and stable development and test environments
- Participate in the resolution of problems in the incident management process as part of assignment group
- Independently troubleshoot environmental issues such as build/deployment and performance problems
- Suggest changes to established methods and procedures, suggest alternative solutions and new methods to improve quality and increase productivity
- Liaise with subject matter experts, development team, implementation support and production support staff to define technical specifications, system scope and objectives
- Provide task estimates and scheduling with assistance
- Work with other groups to meet project deadlines in a timely manner
- Develop and enhance skills through training opportunities
- A University or college degree relevant field.
- 2 - 4 years of experience working in any of the following roles: Implementation, Configuration, Development or Windows/Unix Administration
- Has defined area of expertise in some of the following areas: Windows/Unix Administration, MSI package authoring, J2EE applications, MQ/ActiveMQ Web or Application Servers
- Beneficial to have experience in some of the following: Java development and tools
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux Administration (preferably Red Hat or Solaris 10)
- Working knowledge of Java and J2EE applications
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with web or application servers (Especially Websphere and Geronimo)
- Build tools (Especially Maven 2,Ant, NAnt)
- Source Control (Subversion)
- Microsoft Office tools including Visio
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Organization Skills
- Enterprise Architecture, XML tools and Eclipse would be beneficial
