Application Developer
McGraw-Hill Financial, Research Insight Development Team is seeking an experienced and motivated Developer to join our team. The Research Insight product is an analytical solution used by the financial investment community that can help determine a company’s true value and identify buy/sell opportunities, using our leading fundamental and market database.
This position will be responsible for database and client-side development, writing code and unit tests, as well as testing and support of new and existing applications. Development activities include work primarily in T-SQL, C#, and C++. This role requires heavy hands-on software development. Our Centennial, Colorado office houses a number of development teams who use a wide variety of technologies, providing many opportunities for learning new technical skills and acquiring a thorough knowledge of our business and various financial products.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar
- New University graduate or up to 3 years programming experience as a Database developer
- T-SQL development skills
- Relational database skills, preferably SQL Server
- Driven to learn new development skills
- Able to work well individually and with a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, and results oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Windows development environment
- Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- C# development skills
- Knowledge of writing unit and integration tests.
