Application Development Manager, Private Bank recruitment
Application Development Manager with a strong database/Datawarehouse background and experience of third party application integration required by boutique banking organisation in the West End.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a suite of applications covering such functions as CRM, document management, compliance, deal/transaction management and risk calculation/reporting, nearly all running on Microsoft/.NET. The majority of the applications are third party products that require integration/customisation and subsequent enhancement, with a clutch of Legacy applications in the portfolio as well. The environment is characterised by a relatively large number of applications but a user base of only around 150 people. This role reports directly to the CIO and the successful candidate will have the sort of qualities that could see them eventually stepping into this role themselves, either here or at another organisation.
Candidates should have some hands-on technical abilities in Oracle (PL/SQL) and be comfortable directing a team. Application integration is a significant part of the role, so candidates from software providers or consultancies may be at an advantage, but the key differentiator will be the way candidates combine leadership, technical ability and the credibility to work with the business to gather requirements/define architectures.
