Application Support - Front Office, FX, UNIX / Linux

My client is a leading Tier 1 Investment Bank who require a switched-on, proactive and technically exceptional Support Analyst for its very reputable Front Office FX support team.

THE ROLE:

• Provide support for and manage FX Applications
• Provide minor development tasks such as creating automation toolsets to monitor and track batch and interface processes, capturing key performance and capacity data to support automation of management reporting and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor application incident queues and alerts.
• Contribute to service level improvements by documenting known issues, analyzing failures and suggesting ways to improve service quality
• Work closely with other IT technology teams to manage and resolve production issues, co-ordinate release management activities and support FX batches and feeds processing.
• Assist with project work with tasks range from liaising with developers on minor change and tactical solutions to providing advisory services relating to strategic projects on-boarding.

THE CANDIDATE:

• FX products knowledge.
• Previous experience working in a front office application support role.
• Scripting (Perl/Unix Shell)
• Demonstrable experience of working with Oracle, MS SQL and SYBASE.
• Autosys
• MQ, Solace
• Experience with ITIL concepts and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills
