Due to internal promotion they need an Application Support Analyst with strong Equities knowledge to join their team.
Institutional Equities provides the business with Equity and the related Risk systems across technology support, design, delivery solution delivery management to Institutional Banking and Markets. This area is an internal client facing area where you’ll interact with a broad range of people including Traders, Sales, Risk managers, Operations, Research and Compliance. You’ll also liaise with various internal and external vendors in order to maximise system spends. This area is vital to the business going forward given my clients dependency on technology for efficiency and productivity.
As an Application Support Analyst (Equity, Risk, IRESS) you will play a key role supporting the IRESS suite of products along with the Risk system it feeds into along with 8 other applications which are used for Equity Trading and Risk management. These applications are critical to the effective management of the Bank’s Institutional Banking Markets business and as such the Application Support Analysts must ensure that the applications that support this business steam (Equities) are kept highly available and any issues that arise are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience required
- A 3 – 5 years’ experience as an Application Support Analyst.
- A strong understanding of Equities, Derivatives and related Risk.
- Previous experience with IRESS and a connected Risk system.
- Good experience with UNIX/Linux and SQL for data extraction / log file analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- An IT related degree or industry relevant certifications / qualifications.
- Have process excellence and have very good organisational skills.
- Equities Research experience (desirable).
