A leading provider of trading technology to investment banks is looking to recruit an application support analyst to join their team in London. My client provides some of the most sophisticated electronic trading systems in the capital markets sector and competes with companies such as ION Trading, Ffastfill, RTS, TT, Fidessa and Trayport.
You will join a team that currently stands at 8 support analysts but will grow over the course of 2013 with opportunities to secure senior position open to the employees that provides the best services to client. This team provides 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line function and technical support to a range of clients.
This is a widely used, market leading system that is used by the World's top investment banks, brokerages and exchanges. You will become an expert in the applications and take ownership of issues from the initial support request through to resolution and can draw on the help of a supportive team and/or development team for help.
To be considered for the role of Application support analyst - financial services, electronic trading, capital markets, derivatives, futures, options, Linux, SQL - you will need to following skills and experience:
* 2+ years of financial services (electronic trading, capital markets) application support experience
* Recent Linux skills and experience
* Capital markets business knowledge - ideally derivatives, futures and options however other asset classes would be considered
* Excellent communications skills
Desirable skills and experience:
* Any exposure to C++
* Database skills such Oracle and/or SQL
* Experience working with one of the following systems/vendors; ION Trading, Ffastfill, RTS, Pat Systems, Fidessa and Trayport
