POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for troubleshooting end user requests for issues with network and desktop computer applications. As a member of a team, this position will assist in maintaining the corporation’s computer infrastructure including servers, desktops and network.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of position):

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems on the network and in applications.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Monitor and make recommendations regarding user training needs.
- Monitor and makes recommendations regarding network performance.
- Work with all users in identifying and resolving issues on both the LAN and with business applications.
- Coordinate with other Information Services team members in resolving issues to the customer's satisfaction.
- Follow up with customers to ensure all issues have been resolved.
- Regular attendance required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with desktop systems and Microsoft Windows.
- Knowledgeable with Servers, Networking and all types of miscellaneous computer hardware.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and customers simultaneously.
- Good phone skills.
- Must be able to communicate well with end users.
- Take on-call support for after hours and weekends.
- Regular Attendance required.
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS (not necessary but preferred):
- Experience managing MS Office Applications is a plus.
- Experience supporting and maintaining corporate phone system (Nortel) and or cell phones (Blackberry, iPhone, Droid ).
- Oracle RDBMS/SQL experience is a plus.
