Application support analyst - Electronic trading, hedge fund, Fidessa, Calypso, Sophis, 1st line, 2nd line
Application support analyst required to join a West London based hedge fund to support front, middle and back office trading systems including Fidessa, Calypso and Sophis along with some in-house systems. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support to internal users and gradually be introduced to project work.
My client is growing rapidly and seeking to move away from vendor services and bring support and development in-house. Ideally you will come with experience supporting the Sophis' back office system and FX business knowledge. However support of a hedge fund or asset management trading systems will be sufficient.
The role will involve:
* Support multiple trading systems from front to back office across multiple asset classes
* Working with developers to help improve the systems
* Assisting in implementing and improving support procedures
* Eventually working on implementation and upgrade projects
* Testing and monitoring of the systems
* Troubleshooting user issues

To be considered for this role you must have the following:
ü 12-24 months experience supporting a trading system used by hedge funds and/or asset managers
ü Knowledge of at least one asset classes - equities, derivatives, commodities, FX
ü Technical skills in Unix and SQL
ü Can-do attitude and willingness to learn
ü Strong communication skills both written and verbal
ü Degree level education from a reputable university in a computer related subject
