Global provider of Multi-Asset trading systems is seeking a Software Support Analyst to join their growing team in Sydney. This is a newly created role due to growth across the region and increasing demand for their existing and new products. In this client facing role you will be required to provide first and second line support to their trading and market data systems, which are used by many of the premier global investment banks.
The role:
On a day to day basis you will be involved in performing systems health check for their clients' systems and responding to issues via phone and email. A substantial amount of analysis, troubleshooting and investigative work is required in order to identify and resolve issues within a suitable timeframe.
Key Requirements Qualifications:
- At least one of the following programming/scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Tcl, Unix Shell script, Visual Basic, C++)
- Unix (Solaris preferred)
- SQL and Relational Databases
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems
- Self starter with initiative and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills (verbal written)
- Accuracy and Attention to details
- Minimum 3 years experience providing support to trading systems / software
- Degree qualified in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience with any of the following systems would be a distinct advantage - Murex, Calypso, Wall Street Systems, Fidessa, Algorithmics,
