Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The FBI's Training Division (FBI Academy - Quantico, VA) is currently looking for an highly analytical Application
Support Analyst to join our support team.  In this role you will provide day-to-day Application and server support for various components of our agency’s web-based Learning Management System, to include server and application troubleshooting, problem resolution, performing software upgrades, application and patch installation, performance monitoring and load testing.  Participate in various web application development initiatives and interface with various IT entities (Development, DBA, Network, Server Admin) in creating solutions and resolving problems.  Also interface with customers to define/clarify requirements, testing plans, etc.

Technical support: Daily Applications support of agency learning management and training support website using IIS, Win2K, Windows 2003, .NET, ASP, SQL, Oracle, and Apache Tomcat.  Work closely with Tier 1 Helpdesk personnel, customers and vendors in support of multiple web based applications.  Track site performance, monitor systems and analyze web traffic using web traffic analysis tools.  Investigate and resolve reported problems, implement changes in support of the program. Perform server administration, troubleshooting and maintenance.   Install and configure hardware software and courseware.  Provide and create installation and configuration documentation for web applications.  Suggest improvements for tasks and processes, changes, upgrades, debugging, and escalating urgent issues.  Good time management and ability to act independently under general direction.

Administration: Document processes as they are created and/or modified.  Document results of issue cause/resolution, and support metrics.  Participate in staff and project meetings. Prepare monthly status reports to manager.

Experience and Training:

•Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience (at least 5 years direct experience)
•.NET web application support
•Web metrics, performance monitoring and load testing.
•Web Technologies – IIS, HTML, Apache Tomcat, .NET, XML
•Operating Systems – Excellent Windows Server 2000 and 2003 skills, certifications preferred but not required.
•Database knowledge and experience – SQL Server Administration, SQL query and data analysis

There are no relocation benefits available for this position and candidates must be US Citizens able to pass the FBI background investigation to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
