Application Support Analyst Job in Spalding, Midlands UK
Our large client based in Spalding is looking for an Application Support Analyst on a permanent basis. The role will involve providing support/advice on a number of applications to the business users.
The job role involves the following:-
· Ensure that the current working practices are adhered to, whilst challenging and reviewing standards to ensure continual improvement.
· Provision of high quality support service to the Business, in adherence with agreed service levels, which should be developed and refined to match changing Business requirements
· Diagnosis and where possible resolution of user problems, referring calls to the appropriate 3rd party provider (internal external) when problems cannot be resolved within Application Support, escalating when necessary calls promptly to the appropriate audience.
· Ensuring that Application and Business knowledge is maintained within the Application Support team (for area of expertise) including set-up and maintenance of “support cases” and necessary documentation.
· To motivate and inspire user community to achieve high levels of confidence and understanding in the services provided, ensuring that the user community adopts a “self help” culture with realistic expectations of Application Support.
· Pro-active identification of problem areas, ensuring that remedial action is undertaken to resolve the causation of problems.
· Maintenance of concise and accurate records within the Help Desk system of all support calls, facilitating the production of high quality Management Information.
· Management of 3rd party support service providers to ensure they are fully aware of Business priority and service expectations associated with each call and monitoring their service provision.
