Application Support Analyst recruitment

  • Monitor key applications and processes (in-house and 3rd party) and take action in failure scenarios. This will include monitoring of critical overnight processes that the businesses are reliant upon at the start of day.

    The following skills and experience are considered essential for this role:

      Desirable skills/experience:

        • ? Previous work experience in an IT support/development role within an Investment Banking, Hedge Fund or Asset Management firm
        • ? Familiarity with a Trading or Risk System
        • ? Knowledge of financial instruments (Cash Bonds, Credit Derivatives, ABS, Convertibles, Equity Equity Derivatives)

        2:1 degree in a numerate discipline from a reputable university.

        • ? Experience within a software development/support role with a working knowledge of database platforms (MS SQL) and some experience of application platforms (C# .Net).
        • ? Experience using a release management system (Tfs, clearcase, svn/cvs or other).
        • ? Ability to understand the business criticality of an issue and prioritize it accordingly.
        • ? Must be able to liaise and clearly communicate with colleagues.
        • ? Ability to work independently and solve business problems through own initiative.
