A global and leading provider of buy and sell side trading technology to top Financial Services institutions urgently seeks a talented Application Support Analyst to join their London offices based in the heart of the City. The organisation is highly established, competing with systems such as TT, Portware and Pat Systems. My client boasts some of the most sophisticated applications on the market to date, providing rich functionality for professional traders.
The successful Application Support Analyst will join a team of 6 and will work to provide support to major clients surrounding business and technical issues. You will work to take issues from initial client contact through to issue resolutions with the assistance of senior team members and developers in accordance to the severity of the issue. You will work to maintain workload within the team and work towards becoming a key team member as the business continues to grow.
The day to day duties of the successful Application Support Analyst-(UNIX, Linux, RedHat, Solaris, Financial Services, Electronic Trading, Software Vendor, 1st Line, 2nd Line, Application Support, London) will include but is not limited to:
* Responding to client issues via telephone and email as and when they arise
* Ensuring issues are resolved in a swift and efficient manner
* Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
* Supporting order entry, risk management and exchange connectivity issues
* Documenting and tracking case histories
* Working with new clients to assist with the deployment and configuration of the applications
* Managing the distribution and installation of software enhancements

In order to be considered for the role of the Application Support Analyst-(UNIX, Linux, RedHat, Solaris, Financial Services, Electronic Trading, Software Vendor, 1st Line, 2nd Line, Application Support, London) the following is essential
* Previous experience supporting electronic trading systems
* Good skills with UNIX, preferably Linux, Redhat, Solaris
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Knowledge of financial instruments such as Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income or FX
