Application Support – Banking recruitment

A leading Investment bank requires an Applications Support Associate to join their Application Support team within the Systems Department. The role will require MS SQL or Oracle MS Office including MS Access skills as well as experience working in a support role, supporting multiple applications in a multi server environment. IIS, SharePoint, Filenet skills are highly advantageous.

The role will encompass:
* Own incidents and manage them to resolution, in co-operation with other team members, other internal teams, users and vendors as necessary. Conduct initial root cause analysis following incident resolution in support of the problem management process.
* System Maintenance-Support system maintenance activities, including the application of patches (OS, application etc). Undertake application changes following the change control process. Maintain operational documentation (Operations Guides, Procedures
* System Administration - Conduct Administration tasks for assigned systems and applications, following defined, policies, processes and procedures.
* Problem Management - Support the problem management process. Conduct detailed root cause analysis to identify solutions/improvements.

You will have the following essential skills and experience:
* Experience working in a support role, supporting multiple applications in a multi server environment.
* MS Windows (Client and Server) Knowledge of MS SQL or Oracle MS Office including MS Access
* Experience of supporting and maintaining MS Access based applications
* Experience of supporting and maintaining MS Excel macros
