Application Support (CDS and Perl)
Financial Services firm seek an Application Support Engineer for the eTrading Fixed Income Application. Technical wise it is Perl / Unix Shell Scripting, SQL (Queries from scratch), Windows and ideally networking skills and Front Office business skills. This is a Level 2 Production Support role supporting a STP CDS Platform supporting Front Office users. The client is looking for someone with ideally some front office / trade support experience- used to dealing with sometimes tough technical situations, so is confident. Scripting (Perl / Unix) and SQL skills are key. C++ is a nice to have, but they will also consider people with C#.
Ideally the client is seeking
- Someone who has worked on Mission Critical / real time trading systems
- Strong technically with RDBMS methodology, SQL Scripting and MS SQL Sever (ie writing queries from scratch, database interrogation and manipulation, also Database design and development utilizing SQL and relational database techniques). Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is preferred.
- Strong scripting skills ie Perl or Shell
