Our client is a reputable proprietary trading firm based in Chicago, who are currently building out their London office; they seek a Application Support Engineer to join their team, focusing on Electronic, Exchange Connectivity and Position Keeping Systems as well as other areas.
The candidate to fill this role will handle all administrative obligations in supporting the trading applications and the Back End systems. The candidate filling the role will also communicate with members of all levels throughout the firm.
Ideally the candidate will have trade support experience , an excellent understanding of SQL, excellent knowledge of FIX protocol (version 4.x and above), strong Linux/Unix skills, Perl/Python/Shell Scripting, 1st and 2nd level support experience ; requiring technical and customer facing skills.
