Application Support – Fixed Income Trading recruitment
A reputable financial services firm is seeking a front office Application Support professional to handle front office trading support for the Fixed Income Trading desk. The support role will cover all trade capture, risk, PnL and pricing applications heavily utilized by the various trading desks. Key Responsibilities: The job will involved face-to-face support of traders assisting them on a wide range of technical challenges which could cover anything from electronic trading through to their real time Bond CDS risk and/or PnL.
The role will also involve the development of real-time reports using Clojure, and also scripting of bespoke forward-thinking monitoring which facilitates us in catching issues before the impact our users. Required Skills:
- At least 2 years front office support experience in investment banking.
- Useful technology skills include SQL, Scripting (Perl or Shell), Clojure development, Unix knowledge, and Desktop knowledge.
- Understanding of the business and the products that they trade is also hugely beneficial. Excellent communications skills are a pre-requisite as the clients are traders and thus expect a premium level of service and understanding of the business, products and markets - together with a good appreciation of a Trader mindset.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Banking experience is essential; preferable in one of the big financial power houses
- Risk Management
- Bond/CDS/Loans Pricing
- Working on large systems with multi dependencies
