Application Support (Level 1- Batch) recruitment
• Shares knowledge and practical experience to team on product/technical skills to continually improve the capability and effectiveness of the Service / Support teams.
• Adheres to existing policies and procedures and provides accurate information in the reports and status emails sent out.
REQUIREMENTS:
• The candidate will possess experience and a proven track record in a support role with some development exposure, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Experienced in supporting applications in a global environment and familiar with ITIL concepts and best practices. Preferably experienced in supporting applications in a major investment bank with strong knowledge of ITIL-based processes and best practices.
• The role holder will have an excellent command of English language with strong written and verbal communications to deliver against our commitment to providing a world class service and drive our dedication to the client experience
• In depth understanding of Unix/Linux/Windows. Awareness of Autosys.
• An excellemt understanding of Relational Data Base Management Systems (DB2/UDB/SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase) and associated tools, including SQL, stored procedures and other DB objects.
• Ability to read and understand stored procedures and write ad-hoc queries. Comfortable writing SQL queries to investigate data issues.
• Understanding of Informatica (v 8.1.1 and beyond) is highly desirable
