Application Support Manager, Commodities/Investment Banking, Central London

Application Support Manager required by top-tier investment bank, ideally with Commodities business-facing experience.

 

Following an internal restructure, the successful candidate will be responsible for line management of a newly established mid-sized team of Application Support Analysts working closely with the commodities business and a development team. As an Application Support Manager you will have experience working in a Front Office role for another top tier investment bank or commodities trading firm and be able to influence and improve procedures followed by the support team.

 

The role is a management role rather than itself being operational, but candidates should have previous experience of working in a business-aligned support team in an investment bank, as this person will bear responsibility for the day-to-day availability of trading functionality.

 

From a technical perspective the team work with a Microsoft .Net Windows based technology stack, preferably you will have a technical background and hands on experience with these technologies.

 

The client has considered internal candidates for the role, but has decided that a fresh approach is required, from an individual who can be instantly credible with the business and establish a strong team ethic. This does not necessarily make prior Commodities business exposure a pre-requisite, but candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of related business priorities.
