APPLICATION SUPPORT (RESEARCH) recruitment
Working with investors, financial advisers and distributors around the world, they provide easy access to their investment funds to help people achieve their medium- to long-term investment and savings goals.
Responsibilities:
• support the research support manager in defining the operational support requirements for all new research systems being implemented by the research programme, this includes processes, monitoring, escalation
• second line support of all business line applications investigating problems through issue resolution
• issue resolution, workaround or impact analysis and escalation to internal support teams third party vendors
• analyse and resolve data issues working in partnership with the relevant business support unit
• work with Desktop Support and infrastructure functions to troubleshoot desktop performance issues
• support application testing for new releases maintenance fixes
Requirements:
• demonstrable experience of strong problem / issue resolution
• experience of incident, problem and change management cycles
• experience of system / change implementation
• ITIL Foundation
• demonstrable experience in the support of vendor provided applications
• working knowledge of the main providers of market data, including Bloomberg
• in-depth experience as a power user of productivity tools such as Microsoft Office
• proven experience in analysing, identifying ‘root cause’ and solving data related issues
• experience in top quality production monitoring tools (beyond based technologies and hardware, focussing on application alerts and predictive impact assessment), ideally HP OpenView
