Job Description
Specific Accountabilities:
1. Manage the Technical Services group in order to support the Customer Service Center (CSC) in delivering quotations on time to customers. The main responsibility of this group will be to provide the technical detail required by the CSC regarding the GCs and SHS in order to produce a technically complete quotation in response to the customers completed application datasheet. The customer in this case could be a direct customer, an Analyzer Systems group, or other Emerson internal customer.
2. Serve as the liaison between the CSC and the Application Engineering (AE) group in order to gather the details required to complete a technically feasible, commercially competitive, and field maintainable quotation in a reasonable amount of time, while expending the least amount of AE resources.
3. Maintain, track, report, and continuously improve the metrics relating to the on time response to the CSCs request for technical support in order to support a best in class quotation turn around cycle.
4. Manage the Technical Services group and the interface with AE in order to ensure that orders are released to manufacturing on time. The order entry to release to manufacturing process includes order entry, order technical review by AE, engineering and BOM development, technical evaluation, and release to manufacturing.
5. Maintain, track, report, and continuously improve metrics relating to the order entry to release to manufacturing process within the GC business in order to support a best in class lead time.
6. Manage complex non-standard GC and SHS orders to ensure that they are delivered on time.
7. Manage documentation submittals to customers for open orders
Job Requirements
- Must have analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Rosemount Ananlytical Inc. equipment
- Knowledge of management processes
- Ability to interface effectively with the CSC, AE, and RAI senior management
- Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment to identify improvement opportunities and organize resources to address them
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop these skills in others
- Must have ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to drive continuous process improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mediate conflict between team members
Experience:
· 5+ years of experience in GC application engineering
