Application Support Specialist ($50k-$60k) recruitment
The Company
Our client is currently looking for a front-office trading application support specialist who will be responsible for ensuring that software is deployed in a timely fashion and to also fine-tune the production software environment to achieve outstanding performance.
The Role
- Perform support (front-line capacity) to sales traders proprietary traders
- Demonstrate an ability to tweak and test proprietary software as well as outside vendor trading software
- Perform tuning on production software environment and platform
- Liaise with external brokers, securities exchanges and software vendors and to coordinate with internal software developers and infrastructure teams
- Provide training for end users
Your Profile
- Have 5 years of experience working in a MNC with a strong technical knowledge of SQL, UNIX. Scripting will also be required with a preference to VBA, MySQL and Informix experience
- Investment banking front-office application support is preferred but not required
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, BIS, Technology or Computer Science (CFA is also advantageous but not required)
- Strong fluency in written and spoken English is a must
