Application Support Specialist – Fixed Income recruitment

 Our client a leading global Asset Management Company is embarking on a strategic programme of work to create a new technology platform.  Crucial to the success of this programme is the support of the existing business critical application portfolio and the migration to the new strategic application portfolio.

The Application Support Specialist is an extremely important role as the successful candidate will be providing end to end application support service to all London based Investment Management users and work as part of a global organisation with their peers in Asia Pacific.

The successful candidate will provide 1st/2nd line application support to the UK and European Investment Management users and work with the Asia Pacific counterparts to ensure that best practices are shared to deliver consistent end user support.  The successful candidate will provide a seamless single face of IT to business users.  Individual problem management, incident management and service requests will all be managed to a set of defined global processes.  The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate must have excellent communication skills to engage with the business and provide hands-on VBA code maintenance and fixes with ownership/ responsibility for a set of global Fixed Income applications covering Fund Managers, Research Analysts and traders.
