Application Systems Analyst Job
Personal Lines (BA) OR Corporate Systems
Personal Lines (BA):
Responsibilities include performing in-depth analysis of business requirements documentation, and converting the results of the analysis into a working functional design document and additional project related documentation, suitable for system developer's use. Complete updates to application tables used for rating and document management. Develop valid test plans for assigned projects. Complete end to end testing to validate changes for assigned projects. Prepare project release documents and maintain project related documents in project folders. Completes analysis and makes recommendations on the resolution of reported defects.
Corporate Systems:
Maintain the best and most reliable software solutions to help our clients improve business profitability, and improve efficiencies for our agency users. Through partnerships, leadership and innovation, we will strive to consistently meet or exceed our Client's expectations. Translates business requirements into programming code. Analyzes of changes and defects within ystems. Designs and documents changes to system including integration with other systems. Participates in the review of work being completed by development team to insure it meets standards Implements new and modified systems, products, programs and processes.
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable, progressive experience
• A minimum of 6 years experience in IT.
• Languages: SQL, XML and Java
• Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation
• Experience in systems development life cycle, including design and development
• Strong collaborative skills: ability to work efficiently with other team members
• Excellent communication and customer focus skills; ability to work with users on issues and questions
• Well organized and able to prioritize and coordinate task and projects
• Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving ability
Desired:
• Property and Casualty insurance background preferred.
• Corporate systems experience.
• CICS, COBOL, JCL, Middleware (HostBridge, MQ, Web services)
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials
Systems Analyst – Personal Lines: Will consider someone without Dragon/OneShield if they have a strong PL background in Property and Casualty. Will then train.
