Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. The individual will have a proven track record in the development, testing and deployment of complex applications. Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities but requires instruction and guidance in other phases. We are looking for a self starting individual who can be a positive contributor in a team environment.

The candidate must have excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills with a detail oriented mind set. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field. Knowledge of Microsoft technology and the ability to meet the needs of a growing and evolving business environment. Must have 3 plus years of hands on experience with one or more of the following tools/technologies: .Net 3.5+ (C# and VB), Oracle, SQL Server (2005 and 2008), SSIS, Reporting Tools (Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and MS Reporting Services), SharePoint Services, ASP.Net, Silverlight and Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Role requires familiarity with software development processes and disciplines. Knowledge of the financial services industry and/or Fixed Income is a plus.


Responsibilities:

* Work extensively with all business areas to analyze business problems and opportunities, assist in the development of requirements and functional specifications
* Based on agreed specifications develop applications to solve complex business problems.
* Provide regular project status reports to business area and IT management.
* Be a technical contributor inside the IT group and assist in the evaluation of technology products used by the group.

Qualifications

* 3+ years experience as an Application Developer utilizing Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Development to build custom applications utilizing Microsoft Technologies (.NET - C# or VB.NET)
* Experience with Advent Geneva RSL/RDL
* Experience building web applications in one or more of the following technologies ASP.NET, DHTML/Ajax, Javascript, JQuery or Silverlight.
* Experience with database development in SQL (TSQL or PL/SQL) using either SQL Server (2005/2008), Oracle. Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Crystal Reports or Business objects a plus
* Experience with Agile methodologies and Service Oriented Architecture a plus
* Experience and a track record of contributing to the delivery on successful large scale project implementations.
* BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
* Self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative, strong work ethic and the ability to gather, synthesize, organize and report information
* Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment
* Knowledge of Financial Services and/or Fixed Income securities and terminology is a plus
