Applications Administrator
The role of Applications Administrator ensures consistent management of application code and installation files within Project Fusion. With multiple application development and implementation
projects simultaneously underway, the Applications Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the safekeeping of application code in all states of development and deployment . Working in partnership
with other key roles such as the Systems Configuration Administrator, this position will hold custodianship of applications under development in readiness for production delivery.
Skills, Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and analyze incoming applications effectiveness and efficiency, develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems reporting findings to business owners
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices
- Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications as required in support of the Fusion program
- Collaborate with analysts, des i gners, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications
- Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality
- Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
- Oversee the design, development and installation of application enhancements, parameterization and upgrades as part of the Fusion program
- Coordi n ate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings
- Contribute to pre - test i ng phase of development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations
- Liaise with company' s software vendors for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies
- Liaise with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing
- Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-relat e d activities
- Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new sy s tems or applications
