Applications Developer
Job description
Develops cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Analyzes system requirements, existing business processes and information systems. Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements software applications that are more complex with full competency. Initiates corrective action to stay on schedule. This is a multi-incumbent position and reports to a manager level position.
1. Demonstrated proficiency in use of UNIX and / or Linux command line environment (preferably Bourne / Bourne-Again shell), with a moderate to advanced skill levels in text processing (i.e. cut, paste, grep, egrep, sed, awk, etc.), archiving (tar), and compression (gzip, bzip2, etc.) tools to facilitate prototyping and manipulating text output such that it meets output specifications
