Applications Development and Support Team Leader recruitment

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Recruit, develop and manage members of the applications development and support team so that the team is effective and individual members are developed and encouraged to add value the team.

• Take responsibility for the software development as directed by the product prioritisation process. Monitor and report on progress. Maintain an emphasis on the early identification and, where possible, rectification of problems and deviations from sprint goals.

• Ensure that all applications are delivered and maintained according to agreed specifications, using appropriate systems analysis and development techniques and, where necessary, correctly interface with existing systems and infrastructure.

• Ensure the agreed quality standards for code, specifications, communication and other documentation are adhered to by the applications development and support team members.

• Takes a lead role in policy making and in the definition of procedures, methods, standards and strategies to ensure the most efficient and effective application development and support is carried out.

• Maintain and develop knowledge of current IT and organisational developments in the industry to ensure that opportunities relevant to the IB are identified, researched and applied.
